Follow your Calling

Well, here I go...and I hope you come along with me. I will need your help and support. I am stepping out in faith, because thus far, that is all that I have, along with a burning desire to
"use what I have been given". I attended the second day of the Victorious Disciples Summit http://victoriousdisciples.org/site2011/. Friday evening, I attended with my friend from work. Today, I was with my cousin, and both events were really AMAZING and LIFE CHANGING! There I was with all of the hundreds of other women gathered in the sanctuary seeking something...peace, purpose, direction, clarity, or just some seeking what God has for us in this next "season" (or shall I say Journey) of our lives. It truly was a great event today, the speaker, Rev. Rita Twiggs, certainly did bring it!!! Her message was intense and meaningful. It resonated clearly in my heart, mind and spirit. She spoke about Dorcas (Acts 9), who was an everyday woman, that used her God-given gifts, abilities and talents to provide, serve and bless the people of her community. This was His calling on her life! This is what God intended for her to do! What, my dear sister has the Lord gifted or intended for you to be or become as a blessing to those around you? WE have to be more accountable and intentional in His plan for our purpose because it touches our families, communities, people on our jobs, whom we encounter on a daily basis? What do they receive from us...what do we pour into people...that makes them know that they have not only had an encounter with us, but with the one who fashioned us in His image...Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
